I remember Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Bertie Miner moved in the late 1940's from Oregon, where most of their kids and families lived at that time, to the very north end of Mulberry Hollow on 40 acres about a half mile from us. (They were in eastern Kansas near Independence when Mom was growing up, which was where Dad and Mom met and raised their family for some of the time in the 1930’s and 40’s at various places in eastern Kansas.)
